Tendulkar to meet Schumacher

Master-blaster Sachin Tendulkar could be soon seen zooming past in a swanky Ferrari.

A keen driver and a motorsport enthusiast, Tendulkar, it is learnt, will drive down to Silverstone on Saturday night to meet Formula 1 great Michael Schumacher.

And he will be presented a Ferrari by the ace motorist himself.

Confirming the news, Indian team manager Rajeev Shukla said Tendulkar would drive down to the F-1 circuit after the end of today's one-day game against Sri Lanka.

Both Tendulkar and Schumacher endorse Fiat's new car Palio, and their tete-a-tete has been arranged by the automobile major who introduced Palio in Indian markets a few months ago.

The Ferrari is being presented to Tendulkar for his feat of equalling Sir Donald Bradman's tally of 29 Test centuries.

Tendulkar achieved the landmark when he struck 117 against the West Indies during the Trinidad Test in the Caribbean.

According to team manager, Tendulkar is most likely to stay back and watch the F-1 race scheduled for tomorrow at Silverstone, something he has never got a chance to do in his life.

Tendulkar has been granted permission for it as there is no practice scheduled in London on Sunday.
