Kirtley to miss rest of Tri-Series

England fast bowler James Kirtley was ruled out of the rest of the triangular one-day series against India and Sri Lanka on Saturday after breaking a bone in his hand.

The Sussex bowler, who had played in all four of England's games in the tournament, suffered the injury while attempting to take a catch in the nets at Old Trafford as the squad prepared for Sunday's match against Sri Lanka.

A spokesman for the England and Wales Cricket Board said Kirtley would be out of action for four to six weeks.

Kirtley, who was reported for a suspect bowling action during England's tour of Zimbabwe last October, was cleared to play in March after making changes to his action.
