Sachin will never cheat, says his mother

Sachin Tendulkar's worried mother Rajni on Thursday said her son would never indulge in ball tampering as cricket has been his life since he was a child, and advised the batting maestro to carry on with his game.

Ever since the controversy errupted, neither Sachin or his wife, Dr Anjali, have called her from South Africa, Rajni said.

"I think he is very upset about the whole episode and probably they (Sachin and his wife ) too realise I am worried about it," she added.

"When he calls me I will advise him to get on with the game and enjoy it. And Sachin is known to recover from adverse situations quickly," she said, adding, "I am relieved that Anjali and the two children are with him; they will bring happiness quickly to him."
