Back to IIW '99 index Plexus Technologies, involved in e-branding, knowledge management, Webcasting and development of portal sites, has launched the first-ever full-fledged Webcasting service as compared to a one-time solution.

The company will be kicking off the service with the exclusive live Webcast of the preview of the fall/winter collection by Rina Dhaka on September 24 at the IIW 99. It can be viewed at http://www.plexustech.net.

Money matters on the Net

Global Trust Bank, a private sector bank, unveiled its Internet banking service. The ibank@gtb service will enable customers to conduct their financial transactions anytime, from anywhere in the world.

The site will be functional by early next month. This is the first time that a bank in India has entered the Net for financial transaction.

According to P C Narayan, executive vice-president, IT and retail banking, the launch of the site is part of their strategy to provide customers world-class technology.

Besides, for the first time in India, NSDL Demat account holder of GTB can look up their equity holding and transactions details on the Net.

"And as and when the laws of the country allow for depository instructions to be accepted electronically, we will offer the facility also," Narayan promised.

Matrix Information Service, a Kotak Mahindra company specialising in providing business information to corporations, has launched a new service called Sourcerer.

The service is aimed at all the ISPs, portal companies and corporate sites that seek to offer information.

Sourcerer is aimed at giving relevant and credible content to sites delivered technologically to integrate seamlessly into the 'look and feel' of the site.

It has also tied up with Hughes Escort Communications Limited to offer clients in the remotest corners access to an information database.

Kale's new solutions

Kale Consultants Limited has launched four new products for corporate intranets: Web Friday Reporting, Web CIS, Sahayak, and Web PMS.

The web Friday Reporting is Web based solution for reporting from branches. It facilitates drill-down analysis of cash and balance positions, monitors advances and loans and mobilisation of funds from specific accounts.

The Web CIS helps banks leverage their existing IT infrastructure for providing higher levels of customer service by providing them status reports on cheques, balances and funds.

Sahayak is a logical extension to the help desk activity and provides a secure Web site where they can log in and file their issues for queries and download more information.

Web PMS is reality check online, a project monitoring system.

Pill for virus

Mantra Online now brings anti-virus solutions in a tie-up with Trend Micro Inc. It will provide its customers HouseCall, Online virus scanning service.

This service is a no-hassle virus scanning and removal for all Internet users at www.mantraonline.com.

Microland has announced the launch of the globally acclaimed Certified Internet Webmaster program in India.

Back to IIW '99 index The CIW programme certification is endorsed by the World Organisation of Webmasters, the Association of Internet Professional and the Internet Certification Institute International.

It has launched the programme in partnership with ProsoftTraining.com of the United States.
