J T Mobiles bank guarantee cashed

The government has cashed the bank guarantee of J T Mobiles amounting to Rs 1.23 billion and remitted it to the Department of Telecommunications towards the 20 per cent license fee of J T Mobiles.

Meanwhile, Modicom, operating in Karnataka and Punjab circles, deposited its share of Rs 527.5 million and Reliance India Limited, operating in Gujarat circle, deposited Rs 274 million with DoT.

With this, all operators working in the basic telecom services have deposited their 20 per cent share of the license fee with the government.
