Insurance companies expect robust growth in new business premiums in FY15, on the back of more transparent products in the traditional product segment introduced in January 2014.

According to insurance companies, customer interest to buy products would be accentuated by tax incentives for life insurance products in the upcoming Budget.

The life insurance sector has seen a 11.5 per cent rise in new premiums for FY14.

Life insurers collected total premiums of Rs 1,19,641 crore (Rs 1.19 trillion) for FY14, compared to Rs 1,07,235 crore (Rs 1.07 trillion) in FY13.
