The Ford EcoSport is off to a flying start as the compact SUV bagged 30,000 bookings in just 17 days, becoming one of the most successful car launches in India lately.
Joginder Singh, president and managing director, Ford India said: “We had high expectations of the Ford EcoSport and the unabated response post the launch has been truly gratifying.”
Consumers are appreciating the value-for-money proposition that Ford is offering in the EcoSport’s compelling and smart package, feels Singh.

“The Ford India team is working closely with the suppliers at our Chennai facility to enhance output of the Ecosport to reduce the waiting period and to meet the high demand,” said Singh.
Ford India says that the footfall in its 260 customer touch points across the country has increased and enquiries on other Ford cars have also increased.
The much awaited SUV was launched on June 26 and the bookings commenced the same day (though dealers were taking bookings much prior to the launch).

Offered in 10 variants with two petrol and one diesel engine, the mini SUV starts at a hatchback rivalling price of Rs 559,000 (for the base 1.5L petrol variant).
The diesel variant starts from Rs 669,000 (both the prices are ex-showroom Delhi).
The response for the Ford EcoSport goes to prove India’s love for compact crossovers/ mini SUVs.
