"Six broad areas have been identified in which the amount allocated is likely to be spent," Minister of State for Science and Technology Kapil Sibal said.
Agriculture and agro food processing, road construction and transportation equipment, upgradation of textile machinery and textile industry, healthcare services and herbal and natural products, upgradation of science, engineering and technical institutions relevant to industries were the sectors identified besides targeted programmes in other important areas.
