Satyam Q4 PAT at Rs 141 crore

Satyam has posted a profit after tax and extraordinary items of Rs 140.84 crore (Rs 1,408.4 million) for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2004 when compared with a loss (after tax and extraordinary items) of Rs 35.91 crore (Rs 359.1 million) for the quarter ended March 31, 2003.
 
Total income for the quarter increased to Rs 725.70 crore (Rs 7,257 million) from Rs 553.47 crore (Rs 5,534.7 million)

for the same period last fiscal, according to a release issued to the BSE on Thursday.
 
The company has reported an 81% increase in profit after tax and extraordinary items at Rs 555.79 crore (Rs 5,557.9 million) for the year ended March 31, 2004 as against a net profit of Rs 307.42 crore (Rs 3074.2 million) in FY03.
