India's biggest petrochemicals maker and a leading refiner, Reliance Industries Ltd, said on Monday it has raised product prices of polymers and key fibre intermediates by two per cent to 24 per cent for March.
It raised the prices of polypropylene to Rs 51.35 per kg from 50.35 and polyethylene to Rs 46.20 per kg from Rs 43.20, a release posted on its Web site, www.ril.com showed.
Monoethylene glycol will now cost Rs 46.60 per kg instead of Rs 39.50 and polyethylene terepthalate Rs 67.50 per kg instead of Rs 58.50.
Prices of partially oriented yarn was raised to Rs 77.75 per kg from Rs 71.16, polyester staple fibre by Rs 12.75 to Rs 71.00 per kg and purified terephthalic acid by 24 per cent to Rs 46.50.
Price of linear alkylbenzene has been retained at Rs 51.40 per kg and polyvinyl chloride was also steady at Rs 43.10 rupees per kg.
