A frequent traveller would get a complimentary train trip after certain number of reward points are accumulated, he said. The scheme would be managed by Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation.

To another question on whether the Indian Railways proposes to launch more luxury trains like 'Palace on Wheels', Velu said an MoU has been executed between Railways and the Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation for introducing a luxury tourist train in Karnataka sector.

However, he said, there was no other proposal for launching such trains in other states.
