Who should be the next chairman of Tata Sons?

Half a dozen names are doing the rounds as replacement for Cyrus Mistry as the chairman of the Tata Group.

Mistry was on Monday sacked and was replaced by Ratan Tata, from whom he had taken over the reins of the over $100 billion salt-to-software conglomerate four years ago.

According to a report published in The Economic Times, on Monday, the contenders to replace Cyrus Mistry include:

Consistently ranked among the world's 100 Most Powerful Women, Indra Krishnamurthy Nooyi is the chairperson and chief executive officer of PepsiCo, the second largest food and beverage business in the world by net revenue.
Arun Sarin was the former CEO of telecom giant Vodafone Group. Until recently he was a senior advisor at the private equity firm KKR.
He also serves on the board of directors of Ola Cabs, Cisco Systems, Charles Schwab and Blackhawk Networks.
Noel Tata is the chairman of Trent Ltd and managing director of Tata International. He is also the chairman of Tata Investment Corporation. Noel is married to Aloo Mistry, the daughter of Pallonji Mistry, father of Cyrus Mistry. who is the largest single shareholder in Tata Sons.
He is also the half-brother of the former chairman of Tata Group, Ratan Tata.
Under the leadership of Natarajan Chandrasekaran Tata Consultancy Services has generated consolidated revenues of $16.5 billion in 2015-16.. With over 353,000 consultants, TCS has become the largest private sector employer in India.
Ishaat Hussain is director of several Tata companies, including Tata Industries, Tata Steel and Voltas. Besides, he is the chairman of Voltas and Tata Sky. Hussain is a member of the Securities and Exchange Board of India committees on insider trading and primary capital markets.
He is also a member of the Confederation of Indian Industries finance committee.
Balasubramanian Muthuraman was the vice chairman of Tata Steel, India's largest steel manufacturer and chairman Tata International.
