Honda to launch motorcycle by October

Honda Motor Company on Wednesday said it will launch a motorcycle in the volume segment by October this year through its wholly-owned subsidiary Honda Motorcycle and Scooters India.

"We have decided to launch a motorcycle by October this year," HMC's managing director and chief operating officer (Asia-Oceania) S Toshida told a news conference in New Delhi.

HMSI, which holds 26 per cent in Hero Honda Motors along with Munjals-promoted Hero Group, will launch the motorcycle in the 100-150 cc segment.

The HMSI products will directly compete with Hero Honda Motors.

Honda Motor Company today also renewed its technical collaboration agreement with Hero Honda Motors for 10 years.
