Hindustan Lever Ltd has posted a 17.2 per cent rise in its net profit at Rs 300.47 crore (Rs 3 billion) for the second quarter ended June 30, 2005 from Rs 256.40 crore (Rs 2.56 billion) in the same quarter last fiscal.
The board has declared an interim dividend of 250 per cent per share of Rs 1 each, HLL spokesperson said in Mumbai.
The net sales for the reporting quarter rose to Rs 2,836.32 crore (Rs 28.36 billion) from the Rs 2,571.64 crore (Rs 25.71 billion), the spokesperson added.
