Hindustan Lever on Monday reported a 15 per cent decline in net profit at Rs 250.25 crore (Rs 2.5 billion) for the first quarter ended March 31, 2005 as against Rs 294.88 crore (Rs 2.94 billion) in Q1 FY04.
According to a release issued by the company to the Bombay Stock Exchange on Monday, the total income increased to Rs 2,581.02 crore (Rs 25.81 billion) for the quarter ended March 31, 2005 from Rs 2,424.69 crore (Rs 24.24 billion) in Q1 FY04.
