The government has raised natural gas prices by 20 per cent to Rs 3,840 per thousand cubic metre following a June 5 Cabinet decision to this effect.
The Cabinet had approved raising natural gas prices from Rs 3,200 per thousand cubic metre to Rs 3,840 per thousand cubic metre, official sources said.
The price for the North East region has been raised to Rs 2,304 per thousand cubic metre from Rs 1,920 per thousand cubic metre.
