Forex reserves up $845 mn

Foreign exchange reserves moved up $845 million to $143.943 billion for the week ended December 9, 2005, according to the weekly supplement released by Reserve Bank of India on Friday.

Foreign currency assets increased $839 million to $137.774 billion. Gold reserves and SDRs were unchanged at $4.925 billion and $4 million, respectively.

The Reserve Tranche Position with the IMF increased $6 million to $1.240 billion.
