Bharti Tele-Ventures Ltd's board approved a plan for amalgamation of its subsidiary companies Bharti Telenet Ltd, Bharti Telesonic Ltd, Bharti Broadband Networks Ltd and Bharti Comtel Ltd. The merged entity would be renamed as "Bharti Infotel Ltd".
