The film, directed by Sanjay Gupta, is reportedly influenced by The Juror. After starting the project admist much fanfare, Gupta has re-shot a sizeable chunk of the movie.

Nevertheless, Khauff is an eagerly-awaited film. It has a sleek look and promises a lot of action. While Manisha is looking for a hit, the biggest draw of the film is Sanjay Dutt, now riding high on a wave of success, following his award-winning performance in Vaastav.
