Bad weather chases Pakistan

The unpredictable English weather has taken a liking for the Pakistan team. All their three practise matches against county opposition have been washed out. The Pakistan team has asked for a warm-up game before they start their World Cup campaign against West Indies on the May 16 at Bristol. Pakistan's last match against Lancashire was washed out without a ball being bowled.
The team manager, Zafar Altaf, has asked for a warm-up game on Friday, two days prior to their first game on Sunday. ''It's the action people want to see, not technical equations due to the rain,'' he said.

Pakistan's attack, arguably the deadliest in the competition, has bowled about just 17 overs between them in the two incomplete matches they played against the counties since they arrived in England.
Against Durham, the weather permitted just 10 overs of play, while the weekend game against Derbyshire just managed to past the half-way mark when rain disrupted proceedings yet again.
