The second of London's major cricket grounds -- home to England captain Alec Stewart -- is one of the oldest of English grounds, the original pitch here being laid way back in 1845. For the trivia-minded, this was also the venue where Sir Donald Bradman, making his last Test appearance, was famously bowled for a duck by Eric Hollies in 1948. And also where Jim Laker (whose feat India's Anil Kumble equalled earlier this year at the Firozeshah Kotla ground in New Delhi) took his 10-88 against Australia in 1956.

Rather interestingly, this ancient English ground is sponsored by the Australian beer giants Foster's -- a deal dating back to 1988. Equally intriguingly, despite its age the Foster's Oval is one of the most modern grounds in England, with up to date facilities that are being constantly upgraded.
