Advani meets Dick Cheney

Deputy Prime Minister Lal Kishenchand Advani on Tuesday met United States Vice-President Dick Cheney at the White House.

Advani is visiting the US at the invitation of Cheney, one of the strongest voices in the White House against international terrorism.

The meeting, which began at 1120 hours Washington time lasted about 40 minutes.

Advani made no statement on the meeting with Cheney and immediately left to meet US Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge.
