Fifty-one Indians injured during attack on World Trade Centre

Fifty-one Indians and Non-Resident Indians have been injured during the attack on the World Trade Centre, Indian consulate representatives in New York said.

The injured are being treated in hospitals, they added.

Community leaders however put the figure around 100.

Three companies - Wipro Technologies, Marsh & McLeahman, E-Speed - responding to queries by the consulate have sent lists totalling 63 Indian and NRIs employees who, they say, are safe.
