Bomb defused in time near PIA office in Karachi

Reports from Karachi said that the bomb was hidden in a bottle at the booking office of the state-owned PIA and was detected by a passer-by who alerted the local police.

It is the second time in a matter of few days that timely detection of bombs prevented any damage at the country's important airports.

Earlier, police had detected an explosive device kept in a bag in the main hall of the Islamabad airport.
