Prime Minister Vajpayee arrives in Washington

Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee arrived in Washington on Wednesday on the second leg of his crucial three-nation tour to discuss with US President George W Bush the on-going international campaign against terrorism and measures to strengthen bilateral relations.

Vajpayee arrived here from Moscow after summit-level discussions with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

After a round of meetings with US Congress leaders and the Indian caucus, the prime minister will call on President Bush at the White House.
