Aerobics in the cool of the pool

Hotel Guestline, Bombay offers a special course of aqua aerobics.

Aerobics in the pool is apparently a much cooler way to lose the calories. It involves exercising chest deep in the water. Knowledge of swimming is not required, as long as a participant can maintain balance in the water. Apparently water aerobics's advantage over 'land' aerobics is that the body gets relaxed. This is because in water the human body weighs 10 per cent less than the actual body weight which makes movement more fluid. And the cushioning effect of water helps prevent muscles from feeling heavy. The programme is advised to people who have problems with joints, pregnancy, pre and post delivery.

Prices: Rs 3,000 for 12 sessions in batches. Morning and evening batches will be conducted. Children above 12, only, can enroll.

    Hotel Guestline, 462, A V Nair road, Juhu. Phone 022-6713246, 6703334.
