 There are two or three main neighbourhoods to shop in Pune, where just about everything imaginable is available, at usually better prices than it is available in the bigger metros.
MG Road and the neighbouring roads, East Street and Moledina Road are lined with shops. Lakshmi Road is also an important shopping thouroughfare. The various city peths are great places to browse for all kinds of knick-knacks. Pune-ites have a habit of shutting shop for siesta time. Between 13.00 and 16.00 the shops pull down their shutters and go home to snooze.
