Tiger Tops' Ladakh Sarai: A yurt camp for 30 people, situated 11, 500 feet above sea level, in
the Stok village in Leh. Dining and lounge area designed in the
traditional Ladakhi house.
The Sarai is operational from mid May to mid October.
How to get there: Indian Airlines flight from Delhi to Leh on
Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday at 07.00 reaching Leh at
08.15 am. Or a drive from Manali through the Lahaul valley. Or
trek across the monitions from Kishtwar, Zansakar or Lahaul.
Tiger Tops Lodge, Kathmandu: Situated in the Chitwan National
Park, the lodge has tree houses and bungalows. Nepalese style
dining and lounge area.
How to get there: Royal Nepal Airline Avro or Twin Otter flies
guests to the airstrip in Chitwan valley. Or three day raft trip
on the Seti and Trisuli rivers by Himalayan River Exploration. Or by road from Kathmandu.
