Q. Union HRD Minister Kapil Sibal controversial "One Nation-One Test" proposal for IIT's and other centrally funded technical institutes is redundant. Considering his insistence on not changing the norms, who doesnt the minister advocate a "one nation-one policy" namely merit??? The selection in terms of various quotas has totally undermined merit and politicians, simply to create vote-banks are heavily misusing the quota system. There is no cap on SC/STs,OBCs minorities, who are economically well off and do not need any quotas to uplift them. Ur views???
