Q. An atricle called 'troubled tigers' in the economist, suggests the Asian households to save less and spend more in order of further growth with a higher dependence on import than export.Myself and most among us believe that this high consumption rate and mantra of 'spend spend spend' was one of the prominent reason behind the financial crisis in US. My question is how the high domestic consumption rate will do good to our economy in longer run? Don't you think that restricting to the normal is much better than the consumer spending-economy-growth?
