Q. Communist countries only restrict your economic freedoms but not your day 2 day life. In democratic India, if u take a girlfriend to a lodge, u r harassed by police. In parts of the country, if you camp in a beach beyond 6 PM, the police drive u away "for your own good." Communities in semi agrarian / semi urban locales outcast u if u consume vices (this is more in South India than in North I admit). ALmost every vice except liquor and cigarettes (the most dangerous ones that too) are banned. In what way are democratic countries more "free"?
