Q. But are ridiuclous in a stagnant market. In a high growth years every fund will look good, but good times are not there for ever. and imagine yr plight, if these fund houses eat into 3 % of your principal as maintainace cost,I had invested in 3 ELSS fund in april 2006.i just have got marginal returns of 3 % on Y on yr Basis.Its better to go for index funds which has very low maintainance cost.
