Q. we had a ancestral property of my grandfather (no more), which was later transferred to my late father and uncle. My father left legal will in my name/share in property. Now we have constructed a new house on that plot, and after registration of partition deed and etc formalities, we are just struck in with the MCD mutation dept, who is asking to pay 3% of the market rate as tax/charge. My problem is why should we be asked to pay transfer of property fee of 3%, since we legal heir by inheritance and more than that I have a legal will in my name.
