Q. Credit Card Banks / companies in India typically loot their customers in charging interest and levying other charges. Charging 36-40% per annum interest, in a country like India, is unethical and a blasphemy of the middle class value systems. Corporation Bank has come out with the 21% pa interest for their Credit Cards. LIC of India may come with much lesser interest charge. It is possible that most credit card companies are in a cartel arrangement when it comes to charging interest. Time for a revolution to come about in changing the future of Credit Card biz in India.
