Q. The drafting of the Lokpal bill by a joint government-civil society committee virtually hit a dead end as members from both sides decided to forward their respective drafts to the Cabinet in the absence of a consensus on some of the contentious provisions.the two sides were not able to come to a consensus. But, how does it make sense that the civil society committee has also agreed to submit their draft to be considered by the cabinet?
