Q. I had deposited 200 grams of gold in SBI Gold deposit scheme in 2000. The deposit matured in 2005. For some reason, I could not claim the maturity in time. Two months back I claimed my gold with interest upto 2005 for which the bank had settled interest gold of 4.99 grams. Actually int @ 3.5% pa works out to 7 gms per year appr 37 grms Please advice on the interest calculation and the procedure to be followed to addressal of my grievance.
