Q. The beautiful garden attached to KR sagar Dam in Mysore is called as BRINDAVAN Brindavan is the word derived from Brindha + Vana. Brindha or Vrindha is nothing but TULSI and VANA means garden or forest or the growing place. In general, Tulsi is grown in temples for puja or above Jeeva Samathi of Saints. (E.g: Mantrlaya, Ragavendra Swamy Brindavan) How this beautiful garden, a place of entertainment, with variety of plants is called as Brindavan. In my opinion, it shall be called as NANDAVAN. Can anyone tell this to Karnataka Government and rename it?
