Q. Every year Mumbai awaits 4 d Cyclothon, which promotes cycling & its positive effects on our health.It was heartening 2see many youngsters prepare 4 dis event recently.Cycling is quite popular in d western world.I think every city & metro in India 2 shld promote dis sport as an eco-friendly & healthy way 2 travel,atleast 4 short distances. However, its often seen dat d lanes dedicated to cycles r tkn over by car drivers who park der vehicles in dat space. Guards shld b employed at dis places 2 deter ppl 4rm doing dis. Q. Metros all over India have reached a point of over saturation with regard to civic amenities, infrastructure etc.But why many MNCs and big industrial houses in India still set up their business in the metros adding to the woos there. Is it not time for the respective state governments to pass legislation prohibiting this trend? Your views?
