Barcelona's players react

Former Barcelona striker Gary Lineker couldn't believe Mueller wasn't called out for a foul on Jordi Alba in the build-up, "Shocking piece of refereeing to miss Alba getting Mullered!"

Ex-Barcelona midfielder Gaizka Mendieta agreed and tweeted, "Why do they have an extra official? At least, two of three goals shouldn't have been allowed! First goal was clearly offside & second Alba was blocked!"

And finally, former Barcelona forward Luis Garcia was gracious in defeat, "Nothing to say, Bayern were too much today, great game by the German team."
