The Cheltenham festival takes place every March on a beautiful sporting arena at Cheltenham Racecourse in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.

This year there was no shortage of colourful, glamorous and risque outfits. Hats off to the fashionable women on the Ladies Day fashion awards. It added the fun element to the festival.

The festival is one of those rare events that engages everyone. The festival features the best and the bravest horses and jockeys from Britain and Ireland. The meeting usually coincides with Saint Patrick's Day, and is particularly popular with Irish visitors.

Songstress Lily Allen was seen laughing, joking and cheering on her horse as she relaxed in the spring sunshine. The British actress celebrated as she watched her horse win the Cheltenham Gold Cup Steeple Chase at Cheltenham Racecourse.
