Why was Inzamam suspended for only two matches?

I was at the game the other day, though in a stand that was the furtherst from where the incident took place.

He could have complained to the umpire, the referee, the officials or anyone else who is in charge.

I did see another player, maybe the Pakistani 12th man, take a bat from the players' room and carry it to the scene where the scuffle was. I was too far off to see if either player used the bat to beat the spectator.

A harder punishment/penalty should have been enforced!
