India's badminton ace Saina Nehwal has found a place in ESPN's World Fame 100 Top 10 list of the famous women athletes around the world.

Olympic bronze medallist Saina is placed fourth in the list headed by American tennis legend Serena Williams followed by Maria Sharapova and elder sister Venus.

"Great to b in the list of #worldfame100 ... Top 10 most famous women athletes..." the Indian tweeted on Friday.

Tennis players dominate the list with Caroline Wozniacki and Simona Halep taking fifth and sixth spots respectively followed by American soccer player Alex Morgan.

Chinese swimmer Fu Yuanhui takes eighth place followed by Americans Lindsey Vonn (Skiing) and Michelle Wie (Golf).

Saina made a remarkable comeback after a career-threatening knee injury in 2016 to claim bronze at the 2017 World Championships and then went on to beat PV Sindhu to win the Indian National Championship in November.

Earlier, this year Sania claimed the gold medal in singles at the 2018 Commonwealth Games beating compatriot PV Sindhu in the final.
