Sunil Chhetri, on Friday, marked a special occasion in his life.
India's football captain recalled the first time he met Sonam Bhattacharya, the lady who became his wife many years later.
'The picture isn't perfect, but my journey with you has been just that.'
'Sixteen years to the day I met you and I can't thank you enough for braving it, stealing your dad's (and my coach's) phone and sending me that text,' Chhetri remembered.
Sonam is Mohun Bagan legend Subrata Bhattacharya's daughter.
The couple wed in December 2017.
Chhetri completes 15 years in international football today, Friday, June 12.
He is India's highest goal-scorer with 72 strikes from 115 matches.
