P V Sindhu will look to ward off the disappointment of losing in the semi-finals when she competes in the bronze medal play-off match at the Tokyo Olympics, on Sunday.

Sindhu, who won the silver medal at the Rio Olympics four years ago, can become only the second Indian to win two individual Olympic medals after wrestler Sushil Kumar if she gets the better of China's He Bingjiao in the bronze medal match at 5pm IST.

Boxer Satish Kumar will be aiming to become the first Indian male athlete to win a medal in Tokyo when he takes on Uzbekistan's Bakhodir Jalolov in the 91kg quarter-final bout at 9.36am IST.

The Indian men's hockey team will be up against Great Britain in the quarter-final at 5.30pm IST, looking to make it to the semi-finals after a long wait of 41 years.

Golfers Udayan Mane and Anirban Lahiri will also be in action in Round 4, while India's first Equestrian participant Fouaad Mirza will take part in the cross-country individual event.
