Mansher Singh finished 19th in the men's trap event in the ISSF Shotgun World Cup Shooting Championships, now on in Americana, Brazil.

Mansher, who was in 12th place after the first three rounds, paid the price for a poor score in the fifth and last detail when he missed four targets to end with a total of 117 points.

After starting with a perfect detail of 25, Mansher recorded 23, 24 and 24 in the next three before the 21 in the last detail spoiled his chances for a higher ranking.

Zoravar Singh, who reached the final of the World Cup in Belgrade last month, failed to reproduce the same form and finished 21st with a total of 116. He had a series of 21, 24, 24, 22, 25. The third Indian in the fray, Anwer Sultan finished 36th with 109 points (21, 20, 22, 23, 23).

The gold medal went to Olympic champion Alexey Alipov of Russia, who scored 123 in the first round and 23 in the final for a total of 146.

Matthew Wallace and Dominic Grazioli, both of the United States, won the silver and bronze respectively.

The Americans finished with identical scores of 144 (122 + 22) before Wallace won the tie shoot to pocket the silver.
