26-member team for shotgun World Cup

The National Rifle Association of India hasĀ announced a 26-member team for the shotgun World Cup shooting championships and the Asian clay shooting championships to be held in DelhiĀ from March 15 to 27.

About 250 shooters from 40 countries are expected to participate in these competitions.

The World Cup offers three 'quota places' for the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens.

The team:

Trap: Manavjit Singh Sandhu, Mansher Singh, Anwer Sultan, Zoravar Singh, S M Faizal, Ranajit Nobis, Birendeep Sodhi and Ankur Singh.

Double trap: Major R V S Rathore, Moraad Ali Khan, Gaurav Sondhi, Vikram Bhatnagar, Ronjan Sodhi, Dil Bahadur, Asab Ali, and Shagun Chaudhary.

Skeet: Naveen Jindal, Rao Inderjit Singh, Amardeep Singh Rai, Rahoul Rai, Baba P S Bedi, Rajpal Singh Kochhar, Alok Singh, Devesh Rai, Karan Badhwar and Arti Singh Rao.
