Sania's campaign in Dubai ends

Sania Mirza's campaign at the Dubai Tennis Championships ended on a disappointing note, as she also bowed out of the doubles on Tuesday.

The Indian ace and Spaniard Virginia Ruano Pascual, seeded seventh, lost 3-6, 3-6 to the unseeded Chinese combination of Jie Zheng and Yung-Jan Chan in the first round.

Sania, who complained of an old wrist problem, had exited from the singles on Monday, after a 3-6, 4-6 first round defeat to Anabel Medina Garrigues of Spain.
