India's Anuj Kumar finished 16th out of 21 competitors in the 84kg freestyle wrestling at the Olympic Games in Athens on Friday.

Kumar, who lost his opening bout in Pool A to Iran's Majid Khodaei 1-5, was beaten by Japan's Hidekazu Yokoyama 11-5 in the next to come away from the competition without a victory.

The Indian collected two classification points in his two bouts.

Khodaei advanced to the knockout quarter-finals following an 8-1 win over Yokoyama and will meet American Cael Sanderson, the runner-up in the last World Championship held at New York for a place in the semi-finals.
