Off-road drive for Pajero owners

August 26, 2009 20:24 IST

If you are a motorsport enthusiast and have a Mitsubishi Pajero, here's a chance to test the capabilities of your vehicle to the fullest and, at the same time, enjoy a good time out in the open.

HM-Mitsubishi Motors in association with Sportscraft is organizing 'Heart in Mouth', an off-road driving rally around Belapur in Navi Mumbai on September 6.

The event is on the lines of off-tarmac drives held in many places around the world, though on a smaller scale. It promises one a chance to escape with family to the backwoods of the city and drive over terrain you would never want to take your vehicle for fear of getting stuck.

"This event is basically trekking on wheels, similar to trekking on mountains, for owners of Pajeros who may not have tested this off-road facility of their vehicles," explained Sportscraft's Shrikant Karani, who has previously conducted similar events over the backwoods of Lonavala, Bhopal, Coorg and Rajasthan.

Entries for the 50-km rally, to be run over the mining belts of Uran and Belapur, will be limited to 40 vehicles. Each vehicle can have three more persons accompanying the driver.

HM-Mitsubishi Motors marketing head Pritam Saikia said the event will provide the customers a chance to test the real capabilities of their four-wheel Sports Utility Vehicle.
