Manchester Utd too good for MLS All Stars

Manchester United turned in an impressive showing as they beat MLS All Stars 4-0 at the at Red Bull Arena in New Jersey, which drew a sellout crowd of 26,760, on Wednesday.

Wayne Rooney set up two goals as Anderson and Park Ji-sung put the English Premier League champions 2-0 ahead at the interval before Dimitar Berbatov and substitute Danny Welbeck completed the rout in the second half.

It was United's fourth straight victory over their opponents on their US tour.

Ferguson's side wraps its pre-season tour in Washington on Saturday against Barcelona, in what will be a rematch of the Champions League final which the Spanish team won 3-1.

Galaxy midfielder and former United ace David Beckham nearly found the back of the net for the All-Stars, but United goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard thwarted him in the first-half, and in the 88th minute his free-kick from 25 yards went just outside the left post.
